Born to late

When spring skirts and evening dresses, were everyday women's wear

In the public's ear they spoke with graceful flare

Smiled and giggled under shaded remarks

Taking time to present their character with a certain value

When Gentlemen held doors and pulled out chairs

In anticipation for her to sit and share

Or shyly look at each other, with cause and reason to stare

Over warm cooked meals, prepared with all the care in the world

Hands that cared who ate their nourishment

The land of enchantment

Random strangers said hello and walked safely at night in parks

And those who passed by with thank you, you're welcome replied

Harmonized with balance at your best you are loved

My conscience sympathy for others

Takes my head and off I fly to sweet release

A reflective spectrum, I guess I was born to late
