She sits watching the falling rain,

Feeling no pain, nothing to gain, nothing in vain

The trees bowing in the wind, so scary looking

The leaves blowing swiftly by, seemingly flying

Rain falling, seemingly never stopping

Grey clouds covering the sky

She knew she could fly

Over the trees, over the houses

She flew with no pauses

Wings spread wide

Looking from side to side

She sees nothing familiar

Far down below

People seemed so slow

So small almost like insects

Bustling so quickly

None seemed sickly, just a little prickly

From above still more rain fell

For how much longer she couldn’t tell

These were no April showers

And there sure were no May flowers

This was after all November

Almost December, almost winter

Almost the end around the bend

But still the rain keeps falling

The crows keep calling.
