I was born in Syria, I developed a passion for cinema and stories at an early age. I remember as a child sitting on the floor of our local cinema watching art house movies on a big screen being pure magic.
After completing a degree in fine art at Goldsmiths college London university I worked as a DOP in music videos, television and film, collaborating with the likes of Rankin, Michel Gondry, Badger Smith, Mike Leigh, and Robert Mullan. My work on Dr. Who was described as the best looking episodes the show has ever had. My latest film Mad To Be Normal is the story of R D Laing and his Kingsley Hall experiment in the late sixties.
I write a little and paint.
