Short essay contemplating whether or not we all belong
I am a writer and blogger living on a hillside farm in South Central, Pennsylvania with my family and an embarrassing number of animals. I write four blogs, which is crazy I know, and compulsively submit essays to lit mags for rejection. My novel, I’m Not Her, was published in 2015 by the Story Plant, who will also publish my upcoming novel this May. (Both are womens fictions) I’m currently seeking a new agent to represent my YA work.
I teach workshops on creative writing and also classes based on my nonfiction book, Live Intentionally, which is a guide to the organic life with protesting kids in tow. My favorite activity is fostering dogs and puppies through an all-breed rescue and truly wish that could be my only job.
When not writing, teaching, or picking up poo, I garden compulsively, try not to fall off my horses, and drink too much wine (but NOT while riding said horses, although sometimes I think it might help). You can find links to all my blogs and inspiration for teen writers at CaraWrites.com.
