PAT MONTEATH was born in Wembley but moved to Yorkshire at the age of 3. His early years were spent in the West of the county where he attended local schools in Bingley, Ilkley then Bradford City High School. Upon leaving school he attended Hull College of Advanced Technology where he studied Electronics. After qualifying he moved back to London — worked for Decca and later worked for Her Majesty’s Government.
Pat started writing when he was 9 and has, since then, written a vast number of poems about hundreds of subjects. He's been published in the USA/Canada and the UK. In 2000 was short-listed for a short drama competition run by channel 4.
In 2003 Who Pays The Ferryman? a psychological thriller with espionage overtones and murder, was the first of the ‘Ferryman’ trilogy. Based on fact Who Pays The Ferryman? was published by Quill Publishing and was quickly followed by Operation Orpheus and Codename Beggarman. It was not long after this that Pat became the top selling author for Quill Publishing and one of the top selling authors for Borders (UK). His fourth book, The Waiting Game, followed the ‘Ferryman’ series and was published by Quill Publishing in 2008. Who Pays The Ferryman? is now under option to be shot as a film/drama.
To date Pat has written seven books of which four have enjoyed success as paperbacks and are currently being made available as digital e-books.
Just recently he has branched out into the Paranormal with the publication of his occult and supernatural series in e-book format. The Battle of Anton Zavorski – the first in the series — was released in April 2014 and quickly followed by Hidden Guilt — published March 2015. The Ritual – the third in the series was released Halloween 2015.
Pat is currently working on a number of additional projects within the espionage thriller/crime genre and another occult book as well as his first children’s book.
