Heather Cherry spent her childhood in Dubois, Pennsylvania making up stories and dreaming of a writing career she didn’t know was inside of her. It wasn’t until her early twenties when she decided to put her thoughts onto paper. She wrote Angst mirroring her struggles as a teen and also who she wished she could have been.
Heather received a Masters in Professional Writing from Chatham University in 2012. She is currently a freelance writer and a writing tutor for Smarthinking, a Pearson Company.
Heather has spent most of her life involving herself in writing by authoring blogs on her website, www.heathercherry.com, beginning a writing and communication consulting business, reporting for her local newspaper as well as writing a variety of articles for many different outlets like The Nanny Magazine, Move For Hunger, and Deliberate Magazine.
Most recently Heather has written a memoir featuring the life and loss of her nine-day-old son, Grady James. It is a story of love, desperation and strength. She has embarked on a new writing journey with a romantic fiction novel titled The Bird in the Window.
Heather and her husband Steve live in Western Pennsylvania where there isn’t much commotion other than the rustling trees. Here they raise their son Troy.
