Jennifer Sarah Seligman’s HORRIBLE PEOPLE is the story of a girl’s dreams that unravel behind the closed doors of New York’s most exclusive social scene. Set in 2008 when the upper echelons of society were in full glory just before the crash, HORRIBLE PEOPLE is peopled by a rich cast of characters. But the story begins on Eleanor’s return to Manhattan after a summer in the Hamptons.
Educated privately in Canada, Seligman studied Comparative Literature and Culture at The University of Western Ontario. She completed her LL.B. at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland before deciding to become a writer. Prior to her writing career, she worked as an intern at ELLE and Teen Vogue and later went on to be the New York Editor of Haute Living magazine in New York. She now lives in West London.
