Jeremy Hall, writing under the name of Max Oberon lives on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. A fly in fly out ship’s officer by profession, he has recently written his first professional offering, a cracking book named TILT a Climate Change Thriller. Timely and newsworthy it cleverly intertwines historical factual events with a thought provoking and disturbing storyline around what is occurring globally to give the wild weather patterns we have recently witnessed.
Jeremy has worked as a senior officer on many ships including the original Pacific Princess better known as ‘The Love Boat’ of TV fame in the 1970s. Recently he has worked in Papua New Guinea at the Manus Island Detention Centre as Vessel Master aboard Bibby Progress, a massive floating hotel housing around 500 officials and contractors processing asylum seekers at the Regional Processing Centre.
Working in the Australian offshore marine industry Jeremy has witnessed firsthand how Australia is being shipped to China one giant shipload at a time. With an engineering background and a fertile mind, this shifting of massive amounts of global resources from one hemisphere to the other has given birth to TILT under the premise of altering the earth’s axis to access a presently inaccessible goal.
In addition to the short stories, poems and blogs across various topics that Jeremy has already written, he looks forward to writing many more intriguing works of fiction as his career as a professional writer consolidates.
