My parents raised me to know no color. I remember a black woman who would come to help my mother, and one day she told my mother that she would have to quit because she had no one to watch her little girl. Mom told her it would be fine to bring her daughter to work. I was an only child and she became a good playmate and we had lots of good times. It did not matter that her skin was darker than mine. I raised my children to treat everyone the same. I am now 72 years old and even now there is still trouble between black & white. Will it ever change? That was a powerful story. Well done
