Cigarettes: A Love Story
Breaking up with a bad habit and losing a part of myself.
Hi, how are you doing?
I'm Kevin, Kev Blaze for long time followers, just Kev if we're cool, Blaze if you "fux" with what I'm sayin'. If you don't understand what that means or the similarities to word "f*cks" offends you, I'm probably not for you. I'm often grammatically, politically, and socially incorrect... or (at least) unacceptable, to some people. It's all a matter of perspective. If you follow, you'll hear mine.
I'm a Dad, a Writer, an Activist, an Artist, a Blogger, and a Photographer... living in Las Vegas, almost 9 years now.
I'm a peace & love, meditate in the morning, beer & BBQ at sunset kind of guy. But I'm also very pro black, to some people that equates to angry black male. I forgive for your ignorance, of your own cognitive dissonance. Some of the things i care to discuss are for more elevated minds. I can explain it to you all day, but I can't understand it for you. Me being pro black doesn't make me anti white. I write a lot of opinion pieces. I've never gone out of my way, to piss off racists, conservatives or Christians. Knowing I do, is always a perk though.
Yes, the sarcasm is strong ... in this one!
I'm also, a US Army combat veteran of Desert Storm. I have also worked numerous other shit jobs, to make ends meet as a writer. I was a chef for a few years. Certified tax consultant, talk about boring. I've worked in every store level position of retail, from mopping floors to running the store. I also spent quite a numer of years, becoming a journeyman carpenter. Finishing up, just in time to watch the greatest decline in real estate, in American history.
So... pretty much, in my recent years, Writing & Photography (which had been a side job & a hobby for years) became my bread and butter. I'm fairly good at expressing myself from a keyboard. I'm currently trying to startup a few urban farms in Las Vegas, and other cities in Nevada.
I'm here on Scriggler because Selemir invited me.
I'll be posting to opinion, stories, & poetry.
Keep an eye open for me.
