After a long and successful career in the pulp and paper industry, which took him to 68 countries on 5 continents and saw him living for 7 years in the USA and a year in the Bahamas, Malcolm now lives on the south coast of England and spends his time writing novels and keeping fit at the gym. Due to the international nature of his life, his novels — which seek to entertain and provoke thought — step over international boundaries.
After writing for 22 years and picking up 219 rejection letters from literary agents, Malcolm was published on January 30, 2015, when Austin Macauley Publishers Ltd of Canary Wharf, London published his debut novel 'Another Boring Day in Paradise' (ow.ly/JJkWx). This novel is set in the Bahamas and was inspired by real life events. Austin Macauley have nominated it for the People's Book Prize.
Malcolm's second novel 'The Kiplock Affair' is currently undergoing publication; his third novel 'Tycoon', which is set in Hong Kong, has been accepted for publication, and the board of editors of Austin Macauley are currently reading the manuscript of his fourth novel 'Harry', which is about a 15 year-old schoolboy caught up in Internet chat room grooming. He is currently rewriting a memoir entitled 'Will You Tell Her, Or Shall I?' which chronicles the protracted (ten-year) death of his wife from brain tumours.
