Nice story. What are lighting bugs?
it is called being an introvert :)
I think some relationships are bad, people just stay in them because they do not like to change their lives. On the other hand some relationships are amazing, the cruising love you talked about for the rest of their lives. Most people fall in the middle.
If we want to learn what we need to do to have cruising love (how romantic this name is!) then we should study those very lucky couples who still have it despite being together for so long. If we do that, we can find out what are the common secrets and principals.
Then we can use these principals to find the ideal partner. A computer would help with this...not quite online dating but more advanced online partner finding. We should spend more time choosing and less time dating. Then you finally meet.
It does not sound romantic using a computer to help you find love, but it is better than going through your life failing. And in 100 years it will seem normal to go first to your computer (and to the bar second)....
This made me hungry and exhausted :) Did you read about the Mexican indian tribe that go on huge races through this place: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-je7Wa6rECoE/T7qDqoVzqYI/AAAAAAAABX0/I37v23Y9fAA/s1600/copper_canyon_small_opt.jpg There's a book about them here: http://www.amazon.com/Born-Run-Hidden-Superathletes-Greatest/dp/0307279189 Here's an excerpt from that page: "The key secret hit me like a thunderbolt. It was so simple, yet such a jolt. It was this: everything I’d been taught about running was wrong. We treat running in the modern world the same way we treat childbirth—it’s going to hurt, and requires special exercises and equipment, and the best you can hope for is to get it over with quickly with minimal damage. Then I meet the Tarahumara, and they’re having a blast. They remember what it’s like to love running, and it lets them blaze through the canyons like dolphins rocketing through waves. For them, running isn’t work. It isn’t a punishment for eating. It’s fine art, like it was for our ancestors." Maybe this could inspire you...
