My name is Netan and my husband and I have just completed our first children's book called A Week of Mischief with Zuzu & Gromit. It is about our gorgeous daughter, Zuzu and our crazy cat, Gromit.
We ran a successful crowd funding campaign to help get our book published, we created a pre-order your book style campaign. This week we have had the fabulous news that we have sold into Infancy boutique children's store in Newtown and Rozelle, Koskela (awesome design store in Rosebery/Alexandria), Mini Mojo in Coffs Harbour, Waterstones in the Channel Islands — UK.
I write the stories and my husband makes them sort of rhyme, so they go ‘diddly, duddly, dee, bibbly, bobbly, be’ in your head, and make your brain giggle.
I started writing the stories as I watched Zu and Grom, grow up, become friends, have fun and generally get into mischief together. What I love most about the stories is that they come from a real place; they grew naturally into something, and I hope they keep that sense of innocence, of fun, the genuine, without pretense or affectation.
We created their own Facebook page The Adventures of Zuzu and Gromit, and by the magic of the worldwideinterwebnetwork, we now have almost 16,000 people from all over the world liking and enjoying the stories, poems and photos of Gromit who is quite photogenic! We also have a website called www.zuzuandgromit.com and an instagram account.
We figure everyone needs a little bit of mischief in their life!
