Inspired by the beauty of the Iron Age hill fort on Crickley Hill in Gloucestershire and honouring Shamanistic beliefs in spirit.
Screenwriter, film producer, comedy writer and festival director based in Birmingham, UK. Born in Manchester in 1972 and attended The Glasgow Academy, afterwards Napier University and finally the University of Gloucestershire (1998-2000) receiving an honours degree in Education. Currently a judge (2016) for Anon Film Festival on Film Freeway and fiction contest winner with Short Story & Flash Fiction Society. Nick also writes scripts and commercial storyboards for TV and Radio Advertising commissions.
Cinematic influences include Beckett, Hitchcock, Buñuel, Mamet, Allen, Jarmusch, and Bergman. A fan and proponent of a primarily visual working process, Nick writes engaging characters and inspiring motifs; his comedic story-lines often see dark, absurdist or uncomfortable philosophical conflict serving as fuel for humour. His film work is layered with metaphor and meaning, and his films tend to exist in parallel worlds where the normal rules of reality seem not to apply.
