My name is Paul Nessly. I am currently a full time employee at the Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland, Oregon. I have been interested in writing since 1980 when I went to Portland Community College. Since then, I took writing courses at PCC that include Business Writing, Technical Writing, and Philosophy (which had several essays for assignments) in which I received A's in all of them. In 2010, I completed two writing courses through Long Ridge Writer's Group, the last one being a novel writing course. Using the three chapters from this course, I developed a 170 page first draft of the story I am currently working on called "The Prince's Crucible". Since then, I have wrote over a hundred pages of background information, and have recently finished a three hundred fifty page second draft of which I am currently editing. I also have a journalistic writing blog which can be view at paulnessly.blogspot.com. Writing is my passion and something that I am gifted at. I also love the fantasy genre and am currently reading Robert Jordan. I seek to learn as much about craft as I can, and my aspiration is to start a self-publishing business next year in August. I believe that my writing fulfills something in me that nothing else does.
