I'm a former journalist who wrote for magazines and newspapers in Alberta-Canada, Colorado and New York. After decades of feature assignments and columns 'written-to-space' I went 'rogue' in 2006 to work on fiction projects full time. Novels allowed me to write as much as I wanted, merging fact with my fiction plots. [Though some might argue there is a fair amount of 'fiction' in our news these days.]
It's been a fun and productive nine years, with six of a seven book mystery series for MG readers published [Mosquito Creek Detective Club]. Two books of a YA trilogy [The Crow Child] and five suspense thrillers for adults. All my work is available in digital and print.
Presently I'm completing the second edition of my first book [non-fiction] Blended Not Shaken [2002 1stBooks/Author House-Penguin]. My first and only non-fiction was an offshoot of a multi-part feature for the Denver Post — a pragmatic, somewhat humorous look at remarriage after divorce, with children.
My website is: patchworkpublishing.com — where nearly everything I've published is listed there... I can also be found on Linkedin, and Twitter and I'm a member of Rave Reviews Book Club.
