Hi, my name is Tom McCaskie, and I am new to Scriggler. I am a self-taught artist, something to do in retirement.
Now aged seventy-two and living in the Algarve, Portugal, formally from Scotland.
With the plethora of beautiful coastal sites, my recent art has been taken up with this.
My motivation in life comes from a live observation, during my working life.
A THOUGHT ON LIFE.
I had the privilege to work together with physically and psychologically compromised persons or both.
I would watch in awe as they took very simple tasks and completed them.
To look at the frustration, the determination, the anger and finally the utter joy of completion.
At every stage of the task, they refused assistance. NEVER GIVING UP, despite, in our terms, the tasks they undertook were of modest complexity.
I BELIEVE THAT WE CAN LEARN MUCH ABOUT OURSELVES FROM THIS.

The above is the principle that I follow, even at my age.
