Hi, I’m Tim Campbell, Writer, Publisher, Daydreamer, Participating member Steampunk Writers and Artist Guild (S.W.A.G.) Registered Writer – International Artscentric Guild Registry
I've heard it said that “true writers” constantly create stories about the strangers around them. Well, if that’s all it takes, I’ve made the cut. I certainly love people watching and I manufacture backgrounds and stories about them as well.
I have an AS, a BA, an MS and most of a Ph.D. I’m proud to be a US Navy Submarine veteran. Just to offset that time below the surface, I’ve also flown small aircraft from the control seat. What a rush! I've done all kinds of work: sales, broadcasting, publishing, for 17 years a college professor, and for two decades I was a chief financial officer in the health care industry. But my greatest professional pleasure comes from writing. I’ve been published in magazines and newspapers over the past forty years, but my passion is writing novels. In addition to All's Fair, (2003), What Goes Around, (2011), and Mourning Melody (2016), there are no less than fifty-nine (yep, I know that’s crazy, but still … ) manuscripts in various stages of "construction" to follow those. Oh, and I also love to read and review.
That’s working. In the living part of life, my greatest pleasure comes in two outstanding adult children, a son and a daughter, who were born to us and one daughter in law who chose to join us along with at least twenty or more “adopted kids” who also call me Papa.
Just to avoid wasting any time, in addition to writing, I work with several friends and we are operating two publishing/printing imprints, as well as an online bookseller. Soon … very soon we will add a studio that will specialize in recording audio-books and will have a graphics department offering consigned cover art. We also are in the process of adding blogs to our primary retail site that will interview authors, review books and movies and, who knows what might follow. So, as I learned to say in my broadcasting days … “Stay Tuned!”
Finally, I am often accused of being Santa Claus … but I’ll never tell!
