I am survivor of childhood bullying, I rose above the learning disabilities of my youth to pursue my lifelong passion for writing. After being diagnosed in my thirties with both dyslexia and Irlen Syndrome, I armed myself with a new understanding of my challenges, I enrolled in a writing course, and started writing Warchild's Dreams. I offer this book not only as a testament to the success of my journey but also as an inspiration for others to overcome their obstacles and pursue their dreams.
My husband, Dave, and I have two children, David and Katie, who continue to be my inspiration for writing.
As a writer, I always carry a notebook and pen with me, because inspiration is everywhere. Words on a signpost, or an image that comes to light ,can transform anything from black and white into a masterpiece with colour, by opening an array of dimensions to capture the mind. Writing sends you to new and exciting places.
Now I’m constantly captivated, as my imagination runs on overdrive. I write knowing I have the potential to achieve more, and I can do anything if I set my heart to it.
I’m so proud of myself and what I’ve achieved, and I want others to feel like I do, which is amazing.
