The New Eden: 3. Beings of Light

A description of what we've discovered on the previous poem-we find we are all bits of light and energy.

Hidden beneath the weight of flesh

The world has taught us what we look like

Can not decipher even a fleeting glimpse

Of anything else

Blinded by darkness

The sound effects of day

And night

The infant taught by stumbling figures

Taming the innocent light

We grow farther away

We cry as passionate infants

As it strays

Streaming candles in the darkness

Where mom and dad say

Everything’s alright

Close your eyes my son

Turn out the light…
