Another poem that can be read both forwards and backwards. About depression and perspective.

I’m going to die, she thought.

I no longer believe

My life's worth living.

There’s nothing else left to say

Now I’m coming to the end.

I’m worthless, miserable, pathetic,

It’s a lie to say

I can be happy again.

The truth is that

There’s nothing left for me in this world and

I couldn’t possibly believe or think for one second that

There are people who care for me, and love me.

I look into the mirror and I can’t recognise that person looking back at me anymore

Now that I see with perfect clarity,

There’s something I know I have to do.

Now that I see with perfect clarity,

I look into the mirror and I can’t recognise that person looking back at me anymore

There are people who care for me, and love me.

I couldn’t possibly believe or think for one second that

There’s nothing left for me in this world and

The truth is that

I can be happy again.

It’s a lie to say

I’m worthless, miserable, pathetic,

Now I’m coming to the end.

There’s nothing else left to say

My life's worth living.

I no longer believe

I’m going to die, she thought.
