When we breathe together

18/10/16 A poem about feeling myself at my best

Consistency is key,

elusive, rare and precious...

Can we find that single golden grain of sand

on a thousand mile beach?

We breathed together,

each of us knowing the other,

knowing love and kindness,

feeling care.

It was good to love you.

Your palm on my cheek,

like his tiny one,

pure love...

making me shine.

This is where I do my best work,

when you bring me out of myself,

and I cannot hide my admiration

and joy at being alive,

right here, right now.

With you.
