Did you know

Just as we spoke these truths

Were you riding it out, a final preparation

 

How hard did you struggle

To evade the monster in the room

That was hawking, resourceful

 

Did you know

When it was happening

Was ease at the door?

 

As the blindness formed an Elysian luminosity

Did the weeping fetch you back

For a singular closing flash, was that you, heart-rending

 

Did you know

That year, that month, that day, that hour

Did you greet it rising?

 

Could you bear the knowing?

Imprinting your end in the nexus

Was it easier to suit your commission?
