Theme: Humanity – “Why do we look away when others suffer; leadership, poverty and abjectness, when hope turns hopeless and in sour darkness; souls slip away ?” For how much longer can we look away? I fear what we pretend is not our soup, may soon be served at our kitchen.

A DOG’S WATCH

SOLDIERS OF FATE BOOK COLLECTION — CHAPTER 33

I.

Earth trembles; a disastrous day; the devil’d splay,

The tempestuous rains would not pound less an inch,

Thunders tumbling with ravaging storms, in waves,

Yet, war lords sit in the realm of twilight eating burned flesh.

II.

There yowls the dog, sitting up the deserted hill top,

“Mayhem downhill, do not yield messenger’s cry”

The blackness of the clouds, moved stealthily across the dome,

Listening to the cries of the stricken masses in the horrid trenches.

III.

Dog yowls again "Would this carnage continue while they feast?"

Powers traded in the dark of the night favor no redemption,

Flesh depend on flesh without marrow, lacking strength and will,

Soups of mindless bogus characters erupt evil yet unknown.

IV.

Discovered, "Would the soulless sitting in the ravines; continue to drain it?"

Would the disappointed masses, die of thirst in the midst of abundance?

Come now war lords change thine heart fill, disaster brinks!

The blood of the innocent remains crimson in your hands.

V.

Haven’t you murdered sleep, over the blameless?

The yowling dog now caught, slapped, slaughtered and, sacrificed for your feasts,

Where is your breast plate of conscience and humanity?

Your blood stained hands, wouldn’t go with impunity.
