MAKING WAVES

I asked someone to

Be so kind and describe me

I am like the sea

That is what they said

I make waves within the world

Like finding a pearl

For I speak silence

Except when I try to teach

Peace and love I preach

It is not that hard

To stop so much violent death

Just take a deep breath

It takes everyone

To attempt and not fall short

To make and effort

Suddenly just then

A bottle washed up to shore

It would open doors

Inside was a note

I then opened it and read

Peace is all it said

What did all this mean?

I was to later find out

What it was about

A close-by island

No one was allowed to be

That would not stop me

I traveled by ship

The captain was my close friend

This is not the end

He brought me to there

Although there wa a locked gate

Soon I would change fate

The guard at the gate

Had asked me for the password

I thought how absurd

Peace is all I said

The gate quickly opened up

Inside — many cups

And bottles nearby

Bottles with a note inside

Notes with peace inscribed

I then asked someone

About this island at sea

Peace would be the key

They said this to me

They had found the formula

In California

The formula for

Peace for the entire world

Unearthed by a girl

She bottled it up

The peace formula bottled

She — a role model

Anyone who drank

A bottle with peace inside

Peace would be their guide

I didn’t know why

Peace was on this island

And not every land

Power was the reason

The girl who invented peace

Peace she would decrease

And find her own land

To bottle peace but not love

And be the star of

Everyone looked up

To the founder of peace there

She sat in a chair

People worked for free

She made them work day and night

It did not seem right

I was stepped aside

The formula I now had

Written on a pad

Someone gave to me

They then whispered — help me out

Love we talked about

Inside I was locked

But I found a way that day

To escape — not stay

The captain was there

He had been waiting for me

In the ship at sea

He steered towards my home

I realized something new

I had been a fool

The peace formula

Which was bottled gram by gram

It was all a scam

I told my country

About my discovery

The one out at sea

What was I to do?

An island — people were locked

Though I would be mocked

Thus, I still did this

I wrote to the president

Of my government

I said that I found

An island being scammed

Workers being crammed

Only one person

Scamming the entire land

Ruling the island

The president then

Chose if there was peace or war

Peace entered the door

The president talked

To the girl who invented

The peace government

She was overthrown

The people had their freedom

And I had stardom

Stardom I could sell

By packaging it up

In a golden cup

It occurred to me

The overthrown island queen

I was just like she

Also I thought this

Aren’t we all to some degree

Exactly like she?

We must not abuse

Our own power and control

Thus, peace be our goal
