Literature

I cannot just put into empty words

You read my emotion

Bitter sweet memories

Tasteless to the tongue

Writing life's devotions

Onto materialistic paper

Fingers bleed

From paper cuts

Handwritten in blood

Sweat and tears

Over margins in my words

No ruler could measure this

Height or width

My journey is an uphill struggle

Mountain top dreams

Higher than mount everest

Hustle turned to muscle

Me against myself

No counter attack

So I carry my past on my back

It is behind me but

Can't weigh me down

Distanced from negativity

Broke the surround sound

When you know your a queen

No need for a crown

Confident in myself

I can put my ego down

Will I ever reach my peak

Brutality has been the ground for my feet

Every day fighting

The military wars In my mind

On repeat

Elite

As hard as it gets

I just can't retreat

Now the knowledge I have experienced

Is not defeat

I am only becoming stronger to teach

So I thank everyone on my path

That I meet

If Martin Luther King was a Queen

We would share the same dream

Only lions in my den

That is me and my team
