Theme: “For there is no reason for my next breath, if I can’t contagiously love and be loved in return” Where you are in love with someone and over time it appears to wane. We need to search for that spirit of togetherness, care and love. Then revive and fight for your love again.
BUT THAT LOVE, I AM OWED
Beach crowds, feathered ghosts and stomping hoofs,
What lurks behind them all?
There it is, time!
Time when love between us burned red hot and bright,
Hotter than the midday sun, but day soon turn night,
Casting joyful, petting memories to shadow.
When a phoenix rise from the ashes,
It fills the air with hope, does it not?
That my tongue make false noise is cruel,
Yet I sound bitter truth to the listening ear,
Have we loved and lost, I ask?
Yet the rooster crows, “that love I am owed”.
Would the sun no longer move across our skies?
Would the mighty moon at midnight plummet into our frothing sea?
Life beats quickly as my heart,
Agreed, much has been lost, but “that love I am owed”,
Forever I thought, it will be ours to share,
I know the chains that bound our love, much is struck.
Soughing, the purple piped waters of pride, straggled our time,
Yet, it is a terrible thing to live and want,
We both know, no man is ever truly free,
If there ever is a desirable cause,
Without prejudice, “that love I am owed”,
So we could find ourselves in each other’s arms.
