7/1/2017 A poem about hunger

Wrapped in leather,

it takes animal skins

to clothe this hungry beast.

My flesh is wanting,

my teeth and jaws beg for meat

like a dog.

I wrap me in leather

and attack.

Primal instincts

befittted by a garb

harkening back to less enlightened,

more violent times.

Give me meat

so I may tear it with my teeth.

Let me rend flesh asunder

and wear blood as cologne.
