Sorry, I must have meant to be Somebody to you Somebody you would remember That you would return to when spring calls

Sorry,

I must have meant to be

Somebody to you

Somebody you would remember

That you would return to when spring calls

And flock to like the birds

To emerge in my mild weather

I hope that you know that I know,

I know of my extreme nature,

I know of my flooding tears

The icy shoulders, blistering breath

But I must confess

The scent of your blossoming flower perfume

And the shape of your orchid face

Reminds me that spring is here

And the dreary winter of this year has past

That the passion would come back,

Come back in waves of heat, mad heat

And sustain for a time before it withers and dies

When the flower petals bruise, whither and fall

When the birds leave, and winter reclaims me

But lets not speak of future nor relive the past

We can live in this mild moment

And maybe if we truly try, make it last

Hopefully the memory won't be

Like the faded one you kept for me

Where you won't even recall my spring
