It's a brief love poem, shows what I was up to once upon a time, liked because it helps memory, too...(from "Poems People Liked")

Like a whisper that renews its presence

music hollowed silences until they rang

 

as if the tiny bells of rain I had expected

tugged their way from cloud to window pane.

 

There were no raindrops — they were shy cavorters

clinging to the atmospheric tumult in the sky,

 

and all the time I held her shoulders

till they slipped and crumpled into shaken flowers.

 

No showers fell that night and yet her breasts

like tiny cups folded themselves against my lips

 

and were as moist as fragmentary flasks of water on a swimmer's skin

that crease and shiver, fall and rebegin.
