It's a brief love poem, shows what I was up to once upon a time, liked because it helps memory, too...(from "Poems People Liked")
Like a whisper that renews its presence
music hollowed silences until they rang
as if the tiny bells of rain I had expected
tugged their way from cloud to window pane.
There were no raindrops — they were shy cavorters
clinging to the atmospheric tumult in the sky,
and all the time I held her shoulders
till they slipped and crumpled into shaken flowers.
No showers fell that night and yet her breasts
like tiny cups folded themselves against my lips
and were as moist as fragmentary flasks of water on a swimmer's skin
that crease and shiver, fall and rebegin.
