A sheep expresses his thoughts and feelings regarding the 23rd Psalms.
Jehovah is my shepherd; he takes good care of me. He leads me to pastures, with delicious grass to eat. I happily graze until my hunger is relieved. There is abundant food, as far as my eyes can see. When I am thirsty, he leads me to a clear, clean stream. He provides me with cool, refreshing water to drink. When I am tired, I can rest contentedly. Jehovah is my shepherd; he takes good care of me.
Enemies would harm and devour me, if they could. My shepherd protects me, because I listen to him. If I am hurt or sick, my shepherd soothes me tenderly. Life is not easy; storms may come unexpectedly. My shepherd, a trustworthy guide, walks close by my side. He uses his rod, to show me the right path to take. Jehovah is my shepherd; he takes good care of me.
My shepherd knows what I’m thinking and how I’m feeling. My shepherd supplies me with everything I need. My friends are filled with love and joy, kindness and patience. We laugh and play together; we are a happy family. I am tranquil, without worries. My needs are fulfilled. I’m protected night and day. I have nothing to dread. Jehovah is my shepherd; he takes good care of me.
