Two voices.

Eden sang her song

in harmony with the world

peacefully breaking silence

her voice a sonic lovers' touch.

THE WOLF GROWLED AND SNARLED...

WHAT WAS THIS STRANGE KEENING IN THE AIR?

IT REMINDED HIM OF HIS PACK,

CALLING THEIR TERRITORY,

CALLING HIM HOME.

Eden danced lightly

betwixt her own notes,

agile, seemingly floating

alighting on ears like butterflies on flowers.

THE WOLF BEGAN TO PAD TOWARD THE SOUND

TO STALK, TO TROT AND TO RUN... OH TO RUN...!

THE STRANGE AIR PULLED HIM FORWARD, EVER FORWARD

LIKE GRAVITY, LIKE A COMET,

HOMING IN ON HIS TARGET.

Eden waited where she knew he had to come,

singing her song to the world,

but only for their ears to catch,

like secret kisses between childhood sweethearts.
