a poem

It seems so common now but it was strange not long ago.

I came to live in a very quiet place without friend or foe.

Far away from others, I play in the forest with the wild creatures.

They have been my best friends and some are my teachers.

Once a woman came here and said it is too quiet for me.

I thought- I like this better than any city I could see.

The animals scurry along and mostly come out at night.

Sometimes they run to your side and it gives you a fright.

My thoughts are much calmer now and I sleep  very well.

I love living here away from mankind, for it had become Hell.
