At play with Nature's giants

20/12/2016 I imagine myself as an impossibly big toddler with the world as my plaything

I play catch with the sun.

I roll it in my hands

like play dough,

I squish it and stretch it

and marvel at the shapes

I can create with it.

I spread the sun over my skin

like lotion,

turning myself gold

and warm.

I glow incandescent

with its energies.

From where I sit

on a shelf in the sky

I use my breath

to blow holes in the clouds

like bubble bath,

I cackle with pleasure and glee.

My eyes grow weary

after a hard day's play

and I lie down

with a mountain as my pillow

and I pull the sky to my chin

and sleep.
