Your Lost Voice

This is my first attempt at 'Free Verse' poetry, any advice on how I could improve on this concept would be appreciated.

I can no longer recall your laugh,
Your voice is lost to me now,
And yet I remember still how we would talk.
Always at night,
As it was only at night
That we could reveal our true selves.
For over year,
it was you and I,
it became we not me.
Yet one day when we said goodbye,
We meant it.
Many years have passed
Yet at night I find myself thinking;
Thinking of your lost voice,
longing to hear your laugh.
I can't help but wonder,
If you do the same.
