A rhyming poem about the uncertainty of marriage.

Diamonds

Are like chilled rivers

That shine from above

Despite causing shivers

Underneath however

A deadly drowning

That serenades the young

Like a noble crowning

The glittering crystals

Entice and pursue

The minds of the weak

Hiding around you

A diamond is a promise

Like the clear roof of a stream

That cracks under pressure

And crumples a dream

Love is fleeting

Cannot be contained

Not in a ring

Not with steel chains
