She came to me from solid darkness And opened up my inner self Like a feathered-door

She came to me from solid darkness
And opened up my inner self
Like a feathered-door

The softness of her being
Crept up on me,
And stole me away from the climate of doubt
Planting hope, love, and forgiveness

I’m a wreckless fool.
I’m caught in the cross-beams of true love
For a split second, we crossed paths
You sped past in all your brilliance
I caught a part of you
Like someone captured on film.

And you’ve left an imprint on me for life
Now you’re always with me:
In my thoughts, my soul,
And in my heart.
