"Death Smiles" is a poem that makes us aware of our mortality.

If I close my eyes and never opens them

If  I lay straight and never move again

If my body turns cold and icy

If I'm not able to recognize your voices

And I'm unable to respond to my name

Would you say I'm dead?

If my heart stops beating

If I'm dressed in goodbye attire

If I only move when you move

If people sore teary eyes

And if your sorrows perceives love for me

Would you say I'm dead?

If you only see me when you dream

If you only see me when you imagine

If you only see me when reminisce

If you only see me on the walls

And if I'm unable to visit and smile to you again

Would you say I'm dead?

If I no longer say I love you

If I no longer sing with you

If I no longer quarrel with you

If I no longer hug you

And if I no longer wake up beside you.

Would you say I'm dead?

Would you say I'm dead?
