I FELL INTO A WISHING WELL

I must tell you of a path

Although I don’t know where it is

I have amnesia of the place

But this is where my story’s based

I took a walk when on my own

The path was rocky with many stones

I came upon a wishing well

I will tell you — it’s there that I fell

I do remember all that happened

Except for when I was nappin’

I was led into a different time zone

I should have never walked alone

In fact it was a future year

Not too far, but not too near

I can tell you, I am clear

The world will see a better mirror

Things are brighter in the future

We are not at war anymore

I was there, I met a teacher

He taught me what the world then features

Flying cars and flying bikes

Some are still even flying kites

People smile all the time

Because their health is doing fine

Paper money is no more

We are paid a different way

We are all extremely rich

This I would never ever switch

Taxes are no more

Because no one’s even poor

The politicians decided this

Now we all live in bliss

We are moody still sometimes

Human emotions still make us chime

But the world is not dark and gray

The prayers we prayed made their way

For a better world and a brighter day

After I had been there and back

People gathered by the well

For somehow they all knew I fell

I’m glad I’m back

To tell my tale

This is fact

Now I must sail

Sail through life, there and back

The tales I tell from there won’t lack

Memories that forever last

Maybe next time about the past

I know it well

And I know wells well

Because I fell into a wishing well

Keep praying . . .

There can be a better tomorrow
