ON DONKEY’S BACK HE RIDES

BIG BLUE SEAS POEM BOOK COLLECTION

V. 15 CHAPTER 41

I.

Humbly he came, riding on donkey’s back,

Notwithstanding his glorious place in heaven,

He rides down the road of Mount Olives,

When the crowds praise, for all miracles seen.

II.

The palm fronds lifted high, and waved aloft,

Dancing and singing up and down the streets,

Shouts of hosanna reach to the heavens,

Without this savior, where would you be?

III.

He built his church on the hill at Calvary,

Celebrate, His greatest feat is not in the past,

He is here with miracle working power,

With hope and believe, faith transforms.

IV.

Our spirits seek excellence in his praise,

He came and conquered sin and death,

All old condemnations, now far removed,

Leaving us, joint heirs with King alone.

V.

Hurry, here comes a chance at miracle,

Grace to all who do not deserve it,

In discomfort he came, just for you and me,

Ushering, new prophetic destinies and hopes.
