It was a warm summer day. Blake Shelton was coming to town. He had already performed a not to distant concert for a small crowd at a neighnoring school for the children in Manchester, Ohio. Back in 2005. Only 200 people about who came. Blake was starting out. I was getting ready to move to the state of Rhode Island as Blake came rolling through Hillsboro, Ohio. Tour bus's where already in town as we where packed and ready to hit the highway. We drove through town and took one final look not realizing we would be returning to the same town in a couple years. As we drove out of Ohio about 7 hours later that day, as we crossed the Ohio Pennsylvania line. I took something of personal value and tossed out the window as a signal to Ohio that I might not be back again. I never knew where life would lead me but I always knew the journey behind me. Traveling across Pennsylvania on I-80 our 1st discovery was a big bear they had captured and stuffed and mounted in the visitor center in Pennsylvania. The great black bear that had terrorized many for several years. Next stop would begin a seriies of odd co-incidences that I would not quite understand. Every rest stop we hit, I would put two $1 bills into the vending machine for a cup of coffee where I would only expect 1 quarter to return as change. 5 different stops and each time it returned a $1 gold piece instead. I still have those gold pieces today. It was a late night drive doing trucker hours where I did not have the time or was anyone around to say hey! Seems to be a major mistake in the vending machines. Every time I buy a cup of coffee it's like Merry Christmas. I get a gold coin back as change. We got to New Jersey and that would be the second mysterious adventure of the trip. I went in to this place to ask for directions and make sure I was on the right track. I heard someone singing who sounded like Blake Shelton. I was like oh noooooo! Don't tell me this isn't New Jersey and we landed back in Hillsboro Ohio. Turned out it was just a wannabe singer who sounded like Blake which I would comment with later on youtube as well in 2011. Friend request. Ken can you check out my video's and subsribe to my youtube channel. Leave a comment as well. That became the norm for many in 2011 on youtube. As I traveled through New Jersey grabbing some gas before I hit the Tappan Zee Bridge heading into New York. I did not want to get caught on the bridges in the wrong lane or low on gas. I made the mistake of taking an exit to get gas where there was no immediate onramp back up to the highway. To be continued............
