Inspiration came lightly when the air was warm. It was too perfect to write. The sun was just right, not a cloud in the sky. I wrote best when the rain beat the frame of my door and the winds tried to kidnap my roof. That’s why I never knew how to love you, that’s why I never tried. You didn’t frighten my livelihood or worry my well wishes down the drain. You were a rainbow and I was a hurricane. There was no you until I was finished demolishing your entire being.
