Aftermath my true story.
The power cuts of 1973 had brought Britain to a stand still, Flickering candles were in every house hold. They were sold in their thousands. I think it was the only time apart from Christmas we would all sit as a family and play board games, with having no television it was the only entertainment we had, that, and the eerie story telling sat by the glowing fire, and of course our stories were of real events, and the shadows we had seen so many times.
It was also the year the film the exorcist came out, A story of a families ordeal with the paranormal. Some of the story line I had heard were very similar to our own experiences. Things that happened that year would have the most devastating effects on me, even to this day.
It was also the year that I was attacked and went unreported. In those days things like that weren't, it was the gossiping of neighbours that would bring shame to your family. It was something that I didn't want to talk about anyway, all I could remember was a voice of a man and being smacked on the back of my head... Since the rosary was flung and broken I knew it was a warning not to challenge the evil within...
